Jennifer Lopez's new Netflix documentary Halftime dropped yesterday (14 June), and it's already got a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.
Look, who doesn't love J.Lo?

The icon is a talented singer, dancer and actor who can hold her own on just about any stage - or screen for that matter.
However, as she explains throughout the documentary, none of that came easy.
As a synopsis for the documentary reveals: "Halftime offers an intimate peek behind the curtain revealing the grit and determination that makes Jennifer Lopez.
"The film serves as the kickoff to the second half of her life, as she lays bare her evolution as a Latina, a mother, and an artist, taking agency in her career and using her voice for a greater purpose."

And, after watching last night, it's safe to say we admire the star more than ever - if that was even possible.
The documentary draws on important issues, including why the NFL decided to have J.Lo and Shakira share their Halftime show spot, which is typically reserved for one headline act, who then decides whether to include other artists.
One Twitter user wrote about the decision: "The struggle that J.Lo and Shakira went through to put on an A-list SuperBowl show was all documented in #Halftime the new #Netflix documentary.

"It wasn't a matter of who was better than the other, the NFL didn't take them seriously as Latina women. They clearly proved them wrong."
And prove them wrong they did, because their performance and the subsequent documentary are pretty incredible.
We aren't the only ones saying 'Let's Get Loud' about the documentary though, because it's already got a 95 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is decided by viewers at home.

And even critics are loving the documentary, as it's scored an impressive 84 percent on the Tomatometer, which clocks up the average score of professional reviewers.
Fans even took to Twitter to share their praise: "Just finished watching #Halftime, woke up at 5 AM to watch it. Can't stop crying. I'm f****** speechless.
"@JLo you're such an inspiration to all women, a legend. The doc is absolutely amazing. I'm so proud of you baby. I'm so emotional right now can't think straight."
Another wrote: "Just watched the #Halftime and lemme say, this is one of the best Netflix productions so far, everything was perfect and so inspiring and touchable and REAL. J.Lo is a mf ICON."

While there's been some criticism of the documentary, namely in pitting J.Lo and Shakira against each other, it's sadly something the performer has come to expect.
As the star notes: "My whole life I've been battling to be heard, to be seen, to be taken seriously."
