Scarlett Moffatt no doubt has many famous pals, but one of the most surprising friendships she boasts is with none other than Hollywood A-lister Tom Hardy.
The pair first met back in 2016 when they both appeared on an episode of Alan Carr’s Chatty Man talk show, when he asked her for a photo – much to her surprise.

Hardy told her that he and his wife were huge fans after catching her on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and even invited her round to his place for a game of chess.
New mum Moffatt, 32, opened up about the unexpected friendship on Elizabeth Day’s How to Fail podcast a few years ago.
"I think the time when I really got freaked out was when Tom Hardy came up to me and said 'Scarlett, can I have a photo?'” she recalled.
"And I went 'What?!? Do you want me to take a photo of you?'

"And he said 'No, me and [Tom's wife Charlotte Riley] Charlotte watched you in the Jungle and we loved you in Gogglebox!'
"And I was like 'What? You watch telly?' I was just so shocked that Tom Hardy watches the TV!"
Moffatt went on to reveal that later in the day, Tom's agent came over and asked if she wanted to hang out with him and Charlotte, saying: "Later his agent came in and said: 'Tom would like your number and him and Charlotte would like you to come over and play chess or play board games one time.'

"I said 'Yeah, it's with Tom and Charlotte... chess, tiddlywinks, whatever!' So I passed my number on and he texted me saying 'this is Tom's number'."
While things were off to a flying start, it almost went disastrously wrong when Scarlett went to text a picture of her outfit to her mum.
"I accidentally sent it to Tom while he was in the next room and I literally started crying, I was so mortified," she admitted.
"I thought I'd ruined my chances of becoming friends with him."

Thankfully, Hardy saw the funny side, and sent a photograph back doing the exact same pose in the mirror.
"Whoops, was meant to send that to my mum too," he wrote.
Hopefully Hardy will soon be able to pop round for a brew to meet Moffatt's newborn son Jude, whose birth was announced yesterday (29 June).

"My darling boy I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine," the former Gogglebox star wrote on Instagram.
"You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks.
"Me and your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy."
She added: "I can’t thank @scottdobby enough and to the [midwives] Helen and Charlotte and all of the NHS team at Durham Hospital.
"You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence."
