Others were just glad to see Selena posting on social media again, after announcing a break just last month.
Just after she reclaimed her title from Kylie Jenner as the most-followed woman on Instagram, Selena posted a live video to TikTok to announce her hiatus.
"I'm going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. I'm 30 and am too old for this," she told fans back in February.
"But I love you so much and I'll see you guys sooner than later. I'm just gonna take a break from everything."

It's unclear exactly what it was that sparked Selena's decision, but her announcement came shortly after she responded to a resurfaced video of Hailey Bieber making fun of her bestie Taylor Swift.
In the controversial clip, Hailey and Method Man threw digs at Taylor Swift's music.
When Method Man teases a 'rap battle full of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift's last album', Hailey stuck out her tongue and pretended to put her finger in her throat as if to make herself sick.

The video started doing the rounds on TikTok, and it wasn't long before Selena spotted it.
Taking to the comments, she wrote: "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."
In the following days, drama surrounding Hailey and Selena continued to escalate until eventually, Selena announced she was taking a break.
Thankfully, though, she's officially back to posting silly videos on TikTok - let's just hope it stays that way!
