Tommy Fury has shared the sweet reason why he and Molly-Mae Hague named their daughter Bambi.
The couple welcomed their first child at the end of January, and boxer Tommy has opened up about the unusual name they chose.

Appearing on Loose Women, the 23-year-old said becoming a dad is the best thing that has ever happened to him.

He said: "Boxing is a small thing in comparison with being a father, waking up every day and seeing her beautiful face, you just can't be in a bad mood.
"I feel like a different man and I'm very thankful to God to be in this position."
As for the name Bambi, he explained that it was a moniker that had been in the making for a long time.
"It's a really amazing story to be honest with you," he said.

"In the villa [on Love Island, obviously] we were talking about babies and then when we left we were talking about having babies even more, and there was only one name for our little girl and it was Bambi.
"When Molly was young she only ever wanted to call her daughter one thing and that was Bambi - and I'm not going to be the guy to say no so... and I love the name anyway."
Of course, deciding what to name your child is a tricky business. Just when you think you've landed on the perfect name, your partner tells you they used to date a Patrice, or there was a kid at their school called Ian who turned out to be a pervert.

Bambi is clearly at the more unusual end of the name spectrum, and former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona made it clear she wasn't a fan.
The mum-of-five wrote in her column for OK! Magazine: "Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced the birth of their daughter last week. It’s lovely news, but I must admit I’m not a fan of the name.
"I think Bambi Fury sounds a bit ridiculous.
"It reminds me of the Disney film where the mother gets shot! The poor kid might get some stick in school.

"If they haven’t registered the name yet, maybe they should consider changing it. But each to their own…"
However, Peter Andre subsequently shared his two cents, arguing the only people who need to like the name are Molly-Mae and Tommy.
Taking to his own column in OK! Magazine, Peter wrote: "Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury split opinion last week by naming their baby girl Bambi.

"Now, I am not one to talk about giving your child an alternative name when my kids are called Princess and Junior. However, a child’s name is a personal choice.
"Bambi is a cute little deer, at the end of the day. I just think, why not? It’s up to them.
"Everyone else can have their opinion but it’s irrelevant. Molly-Mae and Tommy show me there are some great things about Love Island because they’ve stayed together and been hugely successful.
"All power to them. If they love the name Bambi, that’s all that matters."
