Actor and singer Zendaya is permanently scrubbing amateur chef from her impressive CV after suffering a bloody accident in the kitchen that required stitches.
The Primetime Emmy Award winning star of Euphoria gave her 148 million followers some much needed updates after appearing to slice her index finger while cooking.
"See now... this is why I don't cook," the former Shake it Up actress captioned a picture shared on her Instagram Story of her finger wrapped up in a blood-stained bandage and a plaster.

The 25-year-old's kitchen faux pas soon took an even more dramatic turn when she uploaded an 'update' two hours later of her finger would being stitched by medical professionals.
Thankfully, Zendaya survived and shared another photo moments later with her newly stitched-up and bandaged index finger in the air.
"Baby's first stitches lol back to never cooking again," she wrote alongside the image which also featured her assistant Darnell Appling.

Fans on Twitter were instantly reminded of a 2021 Tom Holland quote in which he said his girlfriend and co-star is always 'millimeters' from an accident.
The Spider-Man actor told Heart: "Every time she cooks, [she] comes millimeters from not chopping her fingers off, [but] her hand off".
One Twitter quoted Tom and said: "Tom warned everyone".

Similarly, another fan of the pair wrote: "So tom wasn't lying when he said zendaya got second away from chopping her fingers off everytime she cooked".
It seems other fans of the fashion icon found her kitchen accident to be unintentionally relatable: "Zendaya cut her finger cooking she’s just like me," said another Twitter user.
In reaction to Zendaya's most recent finger-related update, one fan said: "And only Zendaya finds cutting her finger and getting stitches funny".
In other news, Zendaya made history by becoming the the youngest woman ever nominated for producing as well as being the youngest two-time lead acting nominee ever for Euphoria.

She previously made history when she became the youngest lead actress drama winner at the age of 24 in 2020.
Zendaya thanked her co-stars and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson when the nominations for the 2022 Primetime Emmys were announced on Wednesday (13 July).
In an emotional Instagram post, presumably before slicing her finger, Zendaya typed: "Making this show with this cast and crew of the most incredibly talented people that I get the privilege of learning from everyday has been a highlight of my life.
"I’m so proud to work beside you and CONGRATULATIONS! I don’t have the words to express the love and gratitude I feel right now, all I can do is say thank you with all my heart! Thanks to everyone who connected with our show, it is an honor to share it with you.
