There's an extremely crucial reason why Aimee Lou Wood addressing comments about her teeth is so important.
Many of us were first introduced to the 31-year-old British actress back in 2019 when she graced our screens - and warmed our hearts - taking on the role of Aimee Gibbs in Sex Education.
Since then, Wood has gone on to star in a number of hit films and TV shows including Netflix's The White Lotus and the BBC's Toxic Town.

The high profile role has seen the Stockport-born actress win a new legion of fans, some of which were unfortunately very clearly body-shaming internet trolls, with many commenting on her teeth.
One person on X wrote: "Aimee Lou Wood’s teeth p*ss me off,"
"I’m sorry but Aimee Lou wood got them Austin powers teeth it’s kinda crazy," blurted out a second while a third rudely piped up: "Aimee Lou Wood and her buck teeth are already annoying me. So distracting, she needs to fix that overbite already."
Wood stars as Chelsea in the latest season of The White Lotus (HBO) Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter last month about the difference between herself and her White Lotus co-stars, Wood explained: "These people live in Hollywood. I live in my little flat in South East London.
"I’m so British in my sensibility that I wasn’t sure how to handle being around so many people who are so front-footed and confident. All I ever do is take the p*ss out of myself."
She added: "Even the way [White Lotus fans] are talking about me and my teeth - that I don’t have veneers or Botox - it feels a bit rebellious."
Luckily, the amount of support for Wood totally outweighs the trolling comments with many rushing to social media to share exactly why it's so important that the actress doesn't let the nasty remarks get to her.
One Facebook user pleaded: "I think it's highly unfair to be commenting on this young lady's teeth, when they should be enjoying her acting (I personally love the things I've seen her in and this she's a very talented actress).
"So please don't be mean to her."
Fans rushed in to congratulate the actress for addressing the cruel remarks (HBO) Another defended: "I love her teeth, it’s what makes her even more attractive. She’s just embracing her beauty and her quirks and it is empowering, we all have them. I hope she doesn’t cave under the pressures of others or Hollywood."
And a final person praised: "I think it’s refreshing & lovely to see a (GREAT!) actress not afraid to embrace the beauty they were born with, not feeling the need to correct every slight imperfection due to wanting to follow everyone else..."
