So, when it emerged that the pair had starting seeing one another in July 2023, a lot of people were confused by the timeline as they were currently working together on the Wizard of Oz spin off live adaption musical.

However, Grande recently made a small comment about her relationship, which goes to show how the pair are doing together.

Despite the pair being notoriously private, there have been little moments of public affection between the pair.

As for their comments about each other, Grande made a rare Vanity Fair interview where she addressed her romance with Slater publicly for the first time in September 2024, after comments about their timeline overlapping with their respective marriages began to circulate online.
"It definitely doesn’t get any easier, seeing some of the negativity that was birthed by disreputable tabloids," she told the publication. "Of course, I went through a lot of life changes during the filming of this movie. A lot of people that were working on it did."
She then defended her boyfriend, explaining that the 'tabloid' press were wrong about him.
"There couldn’t be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him,” Grande said. "No one on this earth tries harder or spreads themselves thinner to be there for the people that he loves and cares about. There is no one on this earth with a better heart, and that is something that no bulls**t tabloid can rewrite in real life."
