Ariana Grande fans spot her reaction to losing fourth award in a row

Ariana Grande is yet to win a major award for her role in Wicked

Ariana Grande appeared disappointed after losing yet another major award for her role of Glinda in Wicked.

In February alone we have had the Grammys, the BAFTAs, and last night saw actors and actresses gather for the prestigious SAG Awards.

But Grande, despite being nominated in numerous categories, is yet to win one of the major awards for her supporting role in Wicked.

The star is, however, nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars this year, which is set to take place on 3 March at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

At last night's ceremony, she was nominated for best supporting actress in a motion picture and outstanding performance by an ensemble, but left without a win.

Fans watching at home spotted the actresses reaction to the loss, as she appeared disappointed that her work was, yet again, failed to be recognised on such a prestigious level.

One user on X said: "This is some bullsh**. Ariana was robbed."

Another added: "If ariana grande doesn’t win the Oscar this year, she better win next year, because I think she’ll have a stronger chance next year if they even nominate Wicked."

Grande did, however, steal the show on the red carpet, with a nod to her character Glinda, wearing a floaty pink dress.

Her boyfriend, Ethan Slater, who also starred in Wicked, was by her side the whole night.

One user on social media even caught an extremely romantic moment between the pair, as Slater was seen becoming protective over his superstar girlfriend.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, lip reader Nicola Hickling has revealed exactly what was said between the two, while they were in the middle of a pushing crowd.

The actor sweetly said: "Stay near, this crowd next to me, they are pushing me."

Slater then took his girlfriend's hand, leading her safely through the sea of people.

The singer spoke publicly about her boyfriend very recently for the first time, in an interview with Vanity Fair in September 2024.

After numerous rumours about the timeline of their relationship overlapping with their respective marriages at the time, Grande to ex-husband Dalton Gomez, and Slater to ex-wife Lilly Jay, the superstar set the record straight once and for all.

Grande said: "It definitely doesn’t get any easier, seeing some of the negativity that was birthed by disreputable tabloids.

"Of course, I went through a lot of life changes during the filming of this movie. A lot of people that were working on it did."

Defending her boyfriend, she added: "There couldn’t be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him.

"No one on this earth tries harder or spreads themselves thinner to be there for the people that he loves and cares about.

"There is no one on this earth with a better heart, and that is something that no bulls**t tabloid can rewrite in real life."
