John Fury has made his thoughts clear on his granddaughter Venezuela getting engaged at 16.

The 60-year-old father of British boxer Tyson Fury commented on the teen's relationship status during season two of the family's reality TV show, Netflix's At Home With The Furys, which dropped on Sunday (12 April).

It appears that the patriarch, who has a more traditional view on teenage relationships, had his reservations about the young romance.

In a trailer for the show that was released last month, he could be heard saying: “Not on my watch. A 15-year-old girl shouldn’t even have a boyfriend, ever.”

Venezuela, who is the eldest daughter of Tyson and Paris, got engaged to her fiancé Noah Price at her sweet sixteenth party in October 2025.

The shock engagement came as a surprise to fans due to them being teenagers and seemingly prompted discussions within the family, too.

In the Netflix series, we see Venezuela tell her parents that Noah would be coming around to ask for Tyson's approval for her hand in marriage.

As per the MailOnline, Paris explains that in traveller culture, girls do tend to get married younger; however, she does contemplate that 16 is 'ridiculously young'.

Meanwhile, Tyson asks: "How can I let a stranger take away my baby? Are you joking? He's gonna come ask me to marry me daughter?"

He tells his daughter: "Marriage is forever, the way we do it, so when you go in that church and say "I do" no piece of paper or government can undo you, as what God puts together can never be undone.

"So it's a lifetime commitment and however old you are, 16-year-old, are you ready for a lifetime commitment to somebody you barely know? You know that for 100 percent fact?"

After Venezuela reassures him that she does, he becomes more understanding of the situation as he responds with: "Then fair play because I knew as soon as I saw your mother.

"If you can get a sensible lad which he is, what more could you want."

Noah told producers that he drove past the gate of the family's home 'ten times trying to build up the courage to go in'.

He admitted: "This was the first time I was talking to him on my own, I was very nervous. Of all the father-in-laws I could pick, I had to pick the world champion.

"I was practising the words over and over in me head, hoping that he said yes."

In a new interview with Metro, Paris firmly shut down any negative opinions surrounding the engagement.

She said, "As for people’s opinions, there’s always going to be an opinion. I don’t understand it. I don’t get it.

"She is getting married, him and her have plans to travel the world, do different things together, he’s doing boxing, Venezuela is doing her social media work.

"They’re trying to put negativity around it, but there really isn’t any there. I don’t see the problem."
