Ben Affleck has explained where his and Jennifer Garner’s relationship is a decade on from their divorce while breaking his silence on how ‘vulnerable’ it feels to divorce Jennifer Lopez.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, both 52, said ‘I do’ during a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos in June 2005.
Over the next ten years, the pair welcomed three children into the world, Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13, before announcing their split in 2015.

In the years since their divorce, the former celebrity couple remain on good terms, co-parenting their children and moving on with subsequent relationships.
In 2022, Affleck said ‘I do’ to Jennifer Lopez, 55, who filed for divorce from him last year.

Meanwhile, Garner has been in a long-term relationship with businessman John C. Miller since 2018, according to E! News.

In a new interview with GQ, the Good Will Hunting actor has revealed his true feelings towards his ex-wife, while opening up about ongoing divorce proceedings.
"I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well,” he admitted.
Affleck also revealed how he and the Deadpool & Wolverine superstar have learned to deal with media scrutiny over the years, explaining how he informs their children about the media.
“We used to have a thing, my ex-wife and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand,” he told the publication.

“We would say, well, ‘You know this isn’t always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant.’
“I know what’s going on in my life. And also, really more importantly, my kids know.”
Speaking about his public divorce from Lopez - whom he married in July 2022 after reuniting a year before - Affleck remarked how some fans treat his life like a soap opera.

“That soap opera is actually independent of a movie you might make or be in. They’re interested in just the general soap opera and you became a character in that soap opera.
“You don’t write it, you don’t direct it, you don’t even know you’re in it, but you are.”
However, the father-of-three insists there is ‘no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue’ surrounding their split, remarking that breaking up with Lopez was ‘just sort of ‘embarrassing’.
“It feels vulnerable,” he added. "I guess there’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something.

“But honestly, like I said, the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting.”
Court documents obtained by BBC stated that Lopez legally ended her and Affleck’s marriage two years to the date of their second wedding ceremony in Georgia.
The documents stated that the ‘Jenny From the Block’ singer had listed their separation date as 26 April, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ when asked to give a reason for her request.
