Beyoncé was the star of the evening at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday and not just because she took home the biggest award of the night.
As the most awarded artist in Grammy history, with an impressive haul of 35 wins, all eyes were on Queen Bey as the winners were announced at this year’s ceremony.
Last year the 'Texas Hold ‘Em' hit-maker delved into the world of country music with the release of her acclaimed album Cowboy Carter.

Although the album was snubbed by the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in 2024, receiving no nominations, it received its flowers last night.
And no one was more surprised than Beyoncé herself.
Taylor Swift presented the Grammy Award for Best Country Album, announcing Cowboy Carter as the room erupted into a sea of applause and cheers. Beyoncé was clearly stunned, and so was her eldest daughter Blue Ivy, 13, who sat next to her mum in the audience.

After taking a few seconds to let the news soak in, Beyoncé made her way to the stage to accept the award. She also accidentally debuted a brand new meme.
“That’s a meme right there,” one fan commented.
Another TikTok user joked: “Me pretending to be shocked.”

Over on X (formerly Twitter) a fan shared: "I'm screaming at Beyoncé's reaction to winning the Grammy for Best Country Album. queen!!!!!"
Another fan gushed: "Beyoncé’s genuine shock almost got me in tears over here! Like she genuinely did not expect to have gotten that Grammy given how the genre of country is. You deserve Queen."
The other artists in the category included Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Post Malone and Lainey Wilson.

After accepting the award, Beyoncé told the audience she 'was not expecting' to win, and explained why she thinks 'genre' is a 'cold word' that boxes artists in.
“I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this, this album we worked so hard on… I think sometimes genre is a cold word to keep us in our place as artists, and just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about. And to stay persistent,” she shared.
Later on in the evening Beyoncé won Album of the Year and then confirmed the cities on the list for her upcoming Cowboy Carter tour, which will visit London this summer.
