'Nightmare' Blake Lively slammed by reporter in 'uncomfortable' resurfaced footage

Viral footage of It Ends With Us actress Blake Lively's 2016 interview is making people 'physically uncomfortable'

Blake Lively has found herself in hot water this week, after a reporter claimed an interview with the US actress made her want to 'quit her job'.

As a result, fans are calling for the Gossip Girl frontwoman to apologise for her behaviour, after a video of the awkward exchange went viral online.

It's been a bittersweet week for movie star Blake Lively.

Her latest project It Ends With Us - an on-screen adaptation of Coleen Hoover's novel of the same name, finally hit cinemas last week after much anticipation.

And though the romantic-drama has been deemed a financial box office success, many of the promotional press interviews given by the cast - primarily lead actress Blake - have seemingly left a bad taste viewers' mouths.

Some people think the press tour sold the film as a swoon-worthy romance, despite it actually being a harrowing tale of domestic abuse.

Blake has been branded 'tone deaf' for failing to address the subject in its fullest in conversations with press, instead focussing heavily on her character's aesthetic.

Adding further fuel to the fire today, a video of a previous interview of mother-of-four Blake has since gone viral online, in which the star can be seen embroiled in a heated exchange with a showbiz reporter.

The controversial clip - which was actually recorded back in 2016, ahead of the release of blockbuster Cafe Society - was uploaded online this week by the journalist themselves, who claimed that the conversation with Blake even left her considering packing in her job.

In the caption of the video - which was titled The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job - reporter Kjersti Flaa penned: "Sitting down with Blake Lively and her co star Parker Posey for Cafe Society (2016) is the most uncomfortable interview situation I have ever experienced."

She continued: "Is it not ok to congratulate someone on their pregnancy or to ask another woman about costumes she is wearing in a film?

"Let me know what you think in the comments.

In the clip, Kjersti begins the exchange by congratulating the actress on her most recent pregnancy announcement.

"First of all, congrats on your little bump," she pleasantly states, before Blake abruptly hits back, while pointing at the journalist's stomach: "Congrats on your little bump!"

Blake's co-star Parker then seemingly attempts to diffuse the conversation by joking about her own 'bumps', gesturing towards her behind.

Calmly, Kjersti continues the interview by asking the pair about the fashion of the 2016 movie.

"Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes," Blake bluntly responds, failing to look the reporter in the eye.

The rest of the four-minute interview sees Blake rarely addressing the reporter, concluding the chat with a rather pointed remark about the downsides of fame.

"The idea that people think that they know you because of how intrusive media is," she replied when asked about the biggest bug-bears of stardom.

"People care so much more about your personal life than they do with your work."

Since the video went viral online earlier this week, Blake has been slammed for her 'nightmare' behaviour.

In the comments to the clip, one viewer hit out: "Oh wow, those girls were not even addressing the interviewer. Good for the interviewer for not getting sucked into their crass behavior."

"This why I couldn’t do journalism, dealing with horrible rudeness from people who really think they’re better than the average," another penned.

"This made me physically uncomfortable to watch. I am so sorry you were treated this way," a third admitted.

Tyla contacted Blake's representatives for comment.
