Blake Lively has launched a new beauty line aimed at haircare, but online users aren’t impressed by the name or the product.
Is it too soon to think about putting down your dedicated hair products? Maybe.
The actress confirmed the launch of Blake Brown Beauty on 31 July, explaining on an Instagram post that it had been a 'work in progress' for a while.

She explained: “Ever since I was a kid, through adolescence, early adulthood, motherhood, work, personal life, whenever, wherever, the single most identifiable part about me has always been my personalit— no? Not my personality? Oh… My hair.
“It’s my longest companion in life. For 36 years and counting. And like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other.
"To love it well, I’ve found a system that has worked wonders for me, a hack of sorts through decades of working with the very best people in the industry, and silly amounts of trial and error. I spent 7 years (I know. It toggles between impressive and wtf took so long) obsessively developing every detail of my newest baby, @blakebrownbeauty.”

However, people aren’t impressed with the way her products look, her name choice or even the fact that Blake’s hair is featured on the advertising.
According to X users, the beauty’s hair looks ‘dry’ and it’s another ‘celebrity scam’.
One person wrote: “How she gonna have a hair care line and her hair look dry in the photo lmfao.”

Someone else wrote: “To be honest I think this name is strange.”
And another said: “I was wondering where the brown was coming from. makes sense and fits the alliteration.”
But while this may come as a shock to many, it’s been a long time coming for Blake.
She wrote in a second post: "7 years in the making, and now my secret is yours... Happy Birthday @blakebrownbeauty We couldn’t have worked harder to make you a handful of products so good that they speak entirely for themselves.

"I can’t wait for you to give them a try.”
But Blake’s dedication isn’t enough to quell the haters.
One person asked why she needed to bring out a beauty line when she’s so wealthy: “Celebrities like her have enough money and don’t need to pedal themselves like this for MORE.

“And why can’t they come up with something new besides hair and skincare or makeup?”
Someone else scathed at the negative comments, calling them out for hypocrisy: “Ppl in the comments need to stfu...if y'all were celebrities, y'all would be trying to make as money as possible. Talking about capitalism, like y'all don't participate in it every day.”
Another echoed: “Wow the negative comments are wild. I am personally so so excited!!! you obviously know what you’re doing when it comes to hair and it’s gonna be a revolution for everyone realizing they don’t need conditioner.”
Tyla reached out to Lively's representatives for comment.
