Bobby Brazier opens up about how he’s recovering after an ‘emotional week’ on Strictly

The EastEnders actor said he's recovering after an emotional week following his Tango performance with Dianne Buswell

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Bobby Brazier has opened up about how he’s recovering after an ‘emotional week’ on the show.

The EastEnders actor, 20, and professional dancer Dianne Buswell, 34, wowed the judges and viewers on Saturday (14 October) with their Tango to 'Fashion' by David Bowie, scoring an impressive 30 out of 40 score and whizzing through to next week’s show.

The dancing duo, were adorned in red outfits for their performance, are on a winning streak but their emotions almost got the better of them that evening. Both Bobby and Dianne were teary following the performance and fans took to social media to express their concerns about them.

During the post-performance interview with Claudia Winkleman on Saturday, Bobby said: "Just emotional. It's been so so emotional all week."

And a tearful Dianne added: "He has just been a massive rock this week, so thank you."

This led some fans to speculate whether there were problems in her relationship with former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Joe Sugg, who she fell in love with after they were paired together in 2018.

One fan wrote: “They both looked really sad tonight and neither have posted training footage on IG this week. I hope they’re both ok.”

However, on Sunday (15 October), Dianne quickly put the rumours to bed by reassuring her fans that all is well between her and Joe by sharing pictures of the pair enjoying a Sunday roast.

Meanwhile, Bobby has said he’s turned to ‘mediation’ to help him after a challenging week last week.

“I am reaping the rewards of chanting. And at work, I’m lucky that, you know, sometimes I’ll be in my dressing room or sometimes I won’t need to be on set.

"There’s always an opportunity to chant. Even on the train and going to work in the car. It’s always an opportunity. No one is ever too busy to meditate. Ever. It is an opportunity to purify consciousness.” he told The Mirror.

The Freddie Slater actor, who is the son of the late reality TV star Jade Goody and TV personality Bobby Brazier, wrapped up the week by sharing a post on Instagram dedicated to his ‘dear coach’ and ‘friend’ Dianne.

He captioned the post: “My dear coach to learn from, friend to feel it all beside and big sister to drive loopy.

“Thankyou [sic] for your votes.”

And Dianne commented on the post, writing: “Me bestie so proud of you love from COACH.”

Now this is what you call camaraderie!
