You'd think anyone would be over the moon to have snuck a cheeky selfie with Billie Eilish, but Chris Hemsworth has some regrets.
Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, the Australian actor reflected on the moment he and multiple Grammy Award winner Eilish came face-to-face at the 2024 Oscars.
It was during a break at the star-studded soiree that 41-year-old Hemsworth spotted the 'What Was I Made For?' singer, when a formerly great idea suddenly dawning upon him.

After his children entered his mind, he became inspired by the idea of impressing the trio by nabbing a photo with one of their favourite stars.

The Thor actor shares his three kids - daughter India Rose, 12, and 10-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan - with Spanish model wife Elsa Pataky.
Pataky, 48, - who'd joined her husband at the A-list accolades - also inspired Hemsworth to approach 23-year-old Eilish, herself being a die-hard fan of the much-loved musician.

Speaking to Colbert on Wednesday (26 Mar), he recalled the moment that would subsequently leave him riddled with regret.
"I got a photo with Billie Eilish at the Oscars," the actor began. "And I remember thinking 'Ah, don't do it, don't do it'."
Despite his hesitation, Hemsworth claimed he pushed through the embarrassment and took the photo anyway, with Eilish and Pataky seen smiling alongside him.
It was then, however, that the reality of going full circle in the world of stardom dawned upon him.

"I was like 'No, my kids are going to love this'," the Marvel star recalled. "And then the moment I took it, I was like 'I went from work colleague to now, like, a fan'."
"We will never be friends," he went on to joke."Never be best friends!"
The news comes in the same week that Hemsworth sparked debate for sharing a snap of one of his son's on social media performing a rather adult hand gesture.

As part of a photo dump of his family's recent trip to Japan, the actor pulled out his photography skills and took a snap to commemorate the journey showing one of his twin boys sticking his middle finger was in the air.
Some fans were seemingly charmed by the lighthearted gesture, as one joked: "Let's normalize letting kids do the middle finger. Smdh."
Another added: "Yes! Love this - keep being real. Love you and your entire family."
Others, however, weren't too impressed. "Not the finger that's ghetto," one hit out.
