I didn't really think it was possible to botch Daniel Craig's name, but apparently it very much is as US presenter Stephen Colbert learned this week.
The 56-year-old British A-lister is best known for starring as the oh-so suave James Bond for five instalments in the beloved film series; Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time to Die.
However, not everyone has quite got the pronunciation of his surname figured out yet. Take a look at the awkward interaction below:
Craig appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this week (2 December) to discuss his new film Queer.

Set in the 1950s, the romantic drama follows a character named Lee (Craig) as he recounts his life in Mexico City among expatriate American students.
He pursues a young man named Allerton, played by Drew Starkey, a US Navy serviceman recently discharged from Jacksonville, Florida.
Directed by Luca Guadagnino - AKA the mastermind behind Call Me By Your Name and Challengers - the A24 flick is set to hit cinemas next Friday (13 December).

During the chat, Craig revealed he had 'a bone to pick' with Colbert which prompted him to clarify: "You have a bone to pick with me?"
"Yeah," the former 007 said. "Six shows, say my name."
After Colbert said his name, Craig said: "Oh, now you’re doing it right."
Asking if he had got the pronunciation of Craig's name wrong in the past, the host wondered: "Why, did I say, 'Creg?'"

The No Time to Die actor then confirmed that Colbert said his name wrong the last six times the actor was on the show.
"It’s a diphthong. I don’t say, 'Colbet'," Craig explained.
A diphthong, by the way, is a single syllable sound that is made up of two vowel sounds that glide into each other
Colbert then attempted to say the surname properly: "Daniel… Craig. Did I not say, 'Daniel Craig?'"

Repeating the mispronunciation, Craig reiterated: "'Daniel Creg'… you don’t hear the difference?"
Colbert then asked Craig to pronounce his surname 'one more time', which he did, prompting the host to exclaimed: "Oooh, I hear the difference. That is subtle.
"And I apologise."

With Craig clearly appreciative of the apology, Colbert then resolved: "I don’t want you, Daniel Craig, to be mad at me."
"Daniel Creg [sic], f*ck that guy" he jokingly concluded. "Daniel Craig, I am so sorry. Please accept my apology."
