After Eminem dropped his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), there's been one track that's brought many fans to tears.

And we've all been trying to work out the reason why he wrote it.

The song is a little different to others in Eminem's back catalogue, and he has previously spit bars about financial battles, relationship break-downs, heartbreaking losses, substance abuse and the estrangements from his children that he endured.

Yet his latest album, which was released today (12 July), features more emotion than we've seen from the Detroit rapper and it's all linked to his relationship with his daughter 28-year-old Hailie Jade.

The song 'Temporary' has already been praised by fans who love the sweet touches like including his daughter's voice.

It is believed the track is a love letter from the 51-year-old rapper to his former little girl, written as though he has passed away.

While the intro includes lines spoken by Hailie herself, Eminem can later be heard saying: "Yeah, so Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song / To help you cope with life now that I'm gone / How should I start? Just wanna say /

Look after Eleana, Stevie and Uncle Nate."

According to lyrics website Genius.com, the message behind the track is an emotional one.

The website states: "A song made for Hailie (Eminem’s only biological daughter) for her to listen to after Eminem dies.

"In this heartfelt track, Eminem reflects on his fears of not being able to communicate his feelings to Hailie once he’s gone. He recalls their close relationship, his struggles, and the guidance he wants to leave behind.

"Eminem emphasizes the importance of staying strong through tough times and assures Hailie that heartbreak is temporary."

It continues: "The song includes personal and candid moments, such as a childhood recording of Hailie, adding a layer of authenticity and intimacy.

"Throughout the song, Eminem balances expressing his deep love and concern for his daughter with his signature raw and unfiltered lyrical style."

The newly released track has had listeners in tears, as one wrote on social media: "Was not expecting another song to Hailie but 'Temporary' hits hard. @Eminem absolutely amazing song."

Another shared: "Eminem’s temporary track should have came with a warning."

A third commented: "Crying to Eminem's new album was not something I thought I'd do today but holy f**k. was vibing to the music until 'temporary' came on and I just started crying holy f**k. such a beautiful song."

A fourth added: "Eminem's track 'Temporary' is actually a tear jerker man."

Someone else admitted: "Why did you do this, Eminem? You got me crying like a baby - Temporary is so beautiful…"

Hailie is one of the three children Eminem - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - has his ex-wife, Kim Scott.

Tyla has contacted representatives Eminem for comment.
