Just weeks later, Firerose has shared with the world that she had a gene which made her more likely to develop certain cancers.
After being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene, the Australian singer, 35, took it upon herself to have a double mastectomy - which is shown to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer by 95 percent.
She claimed that the original date for the operation was scheduled for May, but had to postpone the surgery after her ex-husband filed for divorce just 24 hours prior.

"Thank you so very much for all the prayers.
"I deeply appreciate the outpouring of love & support."
