Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz has bravely made a very 'honest' admission about his mental health.
The 39-year-old American actor rose to fame playing the titular character on the hit sitcom between 2000 to 2006 and went on to star in a whole host of other projects, including the Agent Cody Banks franchise, Big Fat Liar and, most recently, Renner, which hit cinemas in February.
While he may have spent most of the 2000s on screen, he now seemingly spends most of his time as a NASCAR racing driver.

However, earlier this week on Monday (21 April), Muniz took to X to make the candid admission where he shared with his 357.1k followers that he was at a 'new low'.

"If I'm being 100% honest..." he penned. "Mentally/emotionally I may be at a new low. Just wanted to say it out loud."
Fans have since rushed to the comments to share their support for Muniz, with one assuring: "Brother you were great in Malcolm, one of my favourite shows growing up.

"Recognise your gift in life and perhaps re evaluate your world view if it is leading you to believe you are anything but in a place of happiness and joy. You have so much more than you may think that you do."
A second penned: "One day at a time. Focus on what you can control, learn to let go of what you can’t."
"Hey man. Don't quit. Keep moving forward," supported a third. "You have millions of fans who want you around for many more decades, and that doesn't count the people closest to you. Good for saying it out loud, too. Too many people hide that feeling and it always ends up the same way."
Another offered: "You're loved bud. Know that. Accept That."

And a final X user added: "It’s okay to feel this way, just remember you're not alone. We are here to support you bro."

Muniz's mental health admission comes after it was revealed in December that Disney+ was bringing the show back for a limited series which will star the original cast including the likes of Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek returning as Malcom's parents as well as Christopher Kennedy Masterson and Justin Berfield played Sullivan's other brothers, Francis and Reese.
It was announced recently that Erik Per Sullivan, who plays the youngest brother, Dewey, would be the only central cast member that would not return to the big screen for the show's 2025 reboot - despite the fact his other big-name family members would be making a comeback.

The special is scheduled to land on Disney+ later this year, but will see Fargo actor Caleb Ellsworth-Clark playing Dewey - as per Variety.
