Gordon Ramsay says there’s one part of menu you should never order from when dining out

The Michelin-starred chef shared his top three dining tips

If you're anything like us, you'll absolutely love nothing more than getting dressed up and going out for some proper good food.

Whether you tirelessly scour the PDF menu days beforehand or spontaneously decide what you're scranning on the night - it's clear that checking out a mouth-watering menu is sometimes just as exciting as actually eating the food you ordered.

However, world-renowned chef, Gordon Ramsay, has warned over one part of a menu you should never order from when dining out.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Kitchen Nightmares star shared some pearls of wisdom he's come to know after decades working in the restaurant industry.

Gordon, who has been awarded 17 Michelin stars overall and currently holds eight, opened up to the outlet about his top three golden rules diners should always abide by if they're looking to get the most out of the experience.

Up first is being wary of any eatery which throws around 'suspicious boasts' about the quality of their food.

I'm sure we've all seen it: restaurants claiming they have 'famous burgers' or the 'best fry-ups in the country' without much evidence to back such sweeping claims up.

Clearly a red flag, it left Gordon wondering: "Who said that? Who named that?"

Anyone who likes a good glass - or bottle - of vino should listen up now as Gordon also shared a trick to getting the best bottles of wine for a bargain price.

He recommended asking for the 'bin end' list which is comprised of bottles with scratched labels or vintages which haven't sold well.

If you do so, you may be able to nab yourself a bottle of whatever is recommended for no more than $30 (around £23).

And his third and final tip centres around the number one thing you shouldn't pick off the menu when the waiter comes.

He warned that alarm bells go off when the restaurant's 'specials' board is teaming with options.

"Specials are there to disappear throughout the evening. When they list 10 specials that's not special," he pointed out.

Now, it's no doubt that we love a seasonal special but maybe stick to the less crowded specials board so you can get something really special.

Speaking of Gordon advice, the award-winning chef once revealed his ultimate trick to cook perfect steak in an air fryer.

In short, be sure to rub your meat with a flavour-filled and 'very powerful spice' seasoning mix.

Leave that to marinate about 20 mins to 'lock in' and 'seal flavour'

Then, simply pre-heat your air fryer to 390F - or 200C - for at least three minutes before you're due to whack your marinated steak in.

Then cook your steak for 8-10 minutes.

And voilà!
