Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana has opened up about a ‘very controversial’ parenting decision they made with their eldest kids, having defended her husband in a new podcast episode.
Tana, 50, shares six kids with Gordon, 57, having most recently welcomed little Jesse in November last year.
There’s also Oscar, five, Tilly, 22, Jack, 24, Holly, 24, and Megan, 26, together making up a pretty big brood to fit around the dinner table.

Naturally, over the course of 26 years of parenting, there are always going to be some approaches that change - some people might feel more relaxed with younger kids, while others may have learnt a few lessons the hard way with their first child, meaning they’re keen to try things differently the second time round.
In a new episode of Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Tana revealed there was one huge difference between the four eldest and their younger siblings, describing the decision was a ‘very controversial choice’.
She revealed that Gordon wasn’t in the delivery room with her as she gave birth to Megan, Holly, Jack and Tilly, but that he had joined her for Oscar and Jesse.

“He would've gotten all squeamish and probably fainted and all the attention would’ve been on him, and this is my moment,” she joked.
“It didn't ever really bother me and I actually felt quite happy when we talked about it.”
Recalling their conversation about it, Tana explained: “I said, 'Look, if you don’t want to be in there, then don’t'.”
Instead, her own mother was in the room for the first four births.

As for his decision to be present for their two younger sons’ arrivals, Tana added: "I don’t know what changed; it’s just he wanted to be there. I felt it would be nice."
It sounds like the Ramsays aren't expecting to welcome anymore children, with Tana saying on Instagram as they announced Jesse's birth that the family was 'definitely complete'.
She also revealed what the pregnancy was like after she tragically lost son, Rocky, to a miscarriage five months into her pregnancy back 2016.

She shared with her followers: "It’s been a nerve wracking 9 months but we’ve made it and we have been blessed with this little bundle."
Tana added: "Jesse James Ramsay we love you so much."
