There is no questioning that getting married is a huge occasion, one most couples want to remember for the rest of their lives.
But in some cases, some couples find out that they might not see eye-to-eye when it comes to tying the knot.
And one boyfriend has been left furious after his girlfriend revealed she doesn't want to take his surname if they get married.
YouTube stars and podcasters, Ethan Payne and Faith Kelly, have been dating since 2021 and welcomed a little girl together in 2022.

As is the case with a few celeb couples these days, the pair have since released their own podcast, Growing Paynes.
While a whole range of topics are discussed on the podcast, one particular segment has gone viral in recent days when the discussion turned to the topic of marriage.
In a snippet of their podcast, Faith explains: "Ethan won't propose to me because I want to be Kelly-Payne."

A fuming Ethan then responds: "Faith doesn't want to take my name and that irks me."
Faith does go into further detail on how she wants her name to be once she is married to Ethan, saying that she does in fact want to take her partner's name, but wants to also keep her surname.
"I don't want to lose my association with my family," Faith explains.
She also refers to Love Island star Olivia Atwood Dack as an example.

Ethan then went on to say that she wouldn't be losing her association, before adding that he would like her to just take his name.
Explaining his thought process behind that, he says that he thinks 'that's how it should be done' and that Faith would only be 'half his wife' if she decided to take his name while also keeping her own.
"You're bottling it, that's what it is," the Sidemen star went on to say.
And the podcast discussion has certainly created a heated debate online.

"Naaah, that’s a big red flag. Thought more of him," said one person on TikTok.
A second echoed: "Biggest red flag ever," while a third remarked: "This is the brightest and biggest red flag I’ve ever seen like there should be no problem cus she’s taking his name as well so."
Someone else added: "It’s her name…. She’s including his name in it??? I don’t understand his point here."

Others did come to Ethan's defence though, with one person on social media writing: "I feel where he is coming from."
While another added: "Sounds like she wants one foot out the door already.
"You’re either all in or all out."
And another person argued that 'you should always take your man’s name'.
