After the news broke about Hailey Bieber announcing her pregnancy with long-time beau Justin Bieber, some may remember that she wasn’t always so sure about motherhood.
In fact, she used to be ‘scared’ of it.
The 27-year-old has been in the public eye for her entire life, thanks to being born into the Baldwin family - her dad is actor Stephen, her uncle Alec.
Hailey forged her own career as a model in ads for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and H&M, but her fame hit new heights when she got hitched to 30-year-old Justin in 2018.

Hailey was 12 when her infatuation with the Biebs started after accompanying her dad along to the filming of a morning TV show and met a then 15-year-old Justin.
It wasn’t long until the pair engaged in a short romance that ended in early 2016, before rekindling their relationship in June 2018.
In a shocking twist, one month later, Justin popped the question and by November of the same year the pair were married.

But last year, amid rumours of a feud between her and Justin’s ex Selena Gomez - Hailey took to Instagram to say that this year had ‘some of the saddest, hardest moments' of her life.
She wrote: "I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it's easier than admitting I'm having a hard time.
"But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I've ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least."
Hailey then opened up about how she was ‘scared’ to have children while being in the public eye.

Speaking in a new interview with The Times, Hailey was asked if baby Biebers were on the horizon anytime soon, to which she laughed and responded: “I literally cry about this all the time! I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends.
"I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”
She continued: “We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”

Opening up about her own upbringing under the glare of the media, she added: “When you’re out and about and people are stopping your dad or uncle and asking for pictures, you start to understand why.”
In January last year, Hailey donned a t-shirt emblazoned with ‘Nepo-Baby’ across the front.
“That was me being, like, ‘I’m very aware of the situation',” she told The Times.
“I’m going to wear it loud and proud because you are already labelling me as such and it’s true.”
