The broadcasting corporation offered no further elaboration on the reason for the decision, but told LADbible Group: "We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up."
According to reports, the father-of-four has also been dropped from his roles at Match of The Day 2 and Radio 5 Live.
News of his sacking broke just as Jenas began presenting his three-hour-long drivetime programme at talkSPORT, which he presents with fellow former football star Jermaine Pennant.
"I can't really talk about it," he told listeners, audibly distressed by the revelation.

"As you can probably see, I'm not happy about it. But currently as it stands I'm going to have to let the lawyers deal with it."
Jenas continued: "There's two sides... that's all I can say now.
"I'm not happy about this situation. I'm going to be speaking to my lawyers about it, is all I can say right now."

Despite refusing to go on, he sounded in agreement when his interviewer noted: "I can see you're fuming."
He is yet to make an official statement on his sacking.
A representative from talkSPORT later told press, however, that producers were 'made aware of a breaking news story involving Jermaine Jenas as he went on air for a one-off presenting slot'.
They added: "We made a decision – with Jermaine – that he should continue to present the show.”

"Given the array of serious allegations being reported as the story continues to evolve, it’s for Jermaine as a private individual to address them in the way he chooses.

Prior to this, he'd played as a central midfielder for clubs Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers.
He officially retired from sport in 2016, before going on to sign with the BBC in numerous different hosting roles.
He became part of The One Show's talent in 2020 and later went on to become a permanent fixture in 2021.
His presence on the show led to him being on screens for the BBC's Euros 2024 coverage.
Jenas also offers football commentary for TNT Sports and has had gigs as a host for Formula E.
By this point, he'd already cementing himself a position on Match of The Day, and was considered a rising talent at the firm, who had the potential to take over the reigns of punditing veteran Gary Lineker in the future.
His most recent stint hosting the late-night football discussion series took place last month, on 22 July.
His last appearance on evening chat-show The One Show - where he previously presented alongside co-star Alex Jones - took place on 4 May.
