Jessica Simpson has revealed the seriously unusual reason why she’s been drinking 'snake sperm'.
The 44-year-old 'Irresistible' singer has recently been teasing the latest updates in her music career, after making a return to the industry after almost 17 years with her latest single 'Use My Heart Against Me' which came out last month (21 February).
She's since been updating fans with snippets from her life following the release and it's clear that one of her latest social media posts has sparked quite the reactions among her millions of followers online.
Speaking in a short clip posted to Instagram last week (28 March), the 'I Wanna Love You Forever' star told fellow musicians in a studio: "They're like, 'What are you drinking?' Because it's this Chinese herb thing.
"And I'm like, 'I don't know.' My vocal coach told me to drink it, and they Googled the ingredients and - snake sperm."
According to Simpson, the concoction in question is 'like a honey'.
While not naming the product, she added: "So, if you want a good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm."
Simpson captioned the video with a snake, microphone and test tube emoji.

One Instagram user penned: "Hahaha, that’s the Jess we know and love."
"Lol," a second chimed in. "Hilarious and still so carefree!"
A third gushed: "I freaking adore her."
"Like the chicken of the sea but snake version," joked another, while a final fan urged: "Put her back on TV right now lol!"
At the start of this year, Simpson released a statement to People, announcing that she and her husband, Eric Johnson, 45, were parting ways after 10 years of marriage.

"Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them."
It added: "We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family."
Simpson and Johnson first met through a mutual friend in 2010 and became engaged in November of that same year after only six months of dating.
They tied the knot back in July 2014 and share three children together; daughters Maxwell Drew, 12, and Birdie Mae, five, as well as their son Ace Knute, 11.
