Just weeks after revealing her unborn twins had been diagnosed with a devastating health condition, Jesy Nelson has provided her fans with an emotional update.
The former Little Mix star took to social media earlier this month (6 March) to break to news that both she and her babies had been diagnosed with pre-stage TTTS, which refers to twin-to-twin transfusion.
The rare pregnancy condition sees twins sharing one placenta, as well as a network of blood vessels that supply both oxygen and nutrients.

In a handful of these cases, the vessel connections within the placenta are often not evenly dispersed, which triggers an imbalance of blood exchange between the babies.
The worst of these cases could see one of the babies underfed, resulting in malnourishment or organ failure, and the other baby overfed, which could leave them susceptible to an overwork of the heart.

"I am being monitored very closely and I have to go and be scanned twice a week," Jesy said at the time.

"The current situation is that every time I've gone it has got a little bit worse but we are just hoping and praying for the best."
In the days that followed, the 33-year-old musician - who is expecting her twins with boyfriend Zion Foster - went on to explain that she decided to undergo emergency surgery after experiencing a number of alarming symptoms.
"Which is like my belly tightening, struggle breathing," she added.
Despite the surgery 'not what we wanted to happen', the pair were informed by medics it would give their children 'the best chance of surviving'.

And last night (30 March), Jesy provided another update, revealing that she'd now undergone the procedure.
In a new clip shared to Instagram, the couple appeared in high spirits, with the former X Factor contestant beginning: "Hi guys, so we just wanted to give you an update because we know it's been a while.
"First of all, we want to say a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing and strong mums out there. And secondly, we are still in hospital, so I've been recovering."

Thankfully, however, the duo had some 'amazing news'.
"The TTTS has cleared up," Jesy smiled.
"The operation was a success which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so, lucky to have the most amazing doctors."
She continued: "Basically, the situation that we're in now is my cervix is very, very, short, so I can't leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I'm still very, very, early."

The 'Boyz' hit-maker went on to explain that she's been advised not to leave the hospital until she's a 'certain amount of weeks' as a result.

"Every week we're praying that the babies stay in my belly but yeah, we are just so grateful that they are still here and they're still growing strong and we're just so grateful," Jesy said.
Zion then added: "We're in such a blessed, blessed, situation to even be able to make this video and share this good news."
