Last night, Jesy Nelson broke the news to her fans that the lives of one or both of her unborn twins are being considered at risk by medics.
Taking to Instagram, the former Little Mix singer revealed that a complication known as TTTS has left her babies needing two scans per week, whilst opened up on how the devastating diagnosis has affected her prospects on parenting.
The 33-year-old's latest update comes less than two months since she announced that she and boyfriend Zion Foster are expecting two new additions to their family later this year.

Sharing a baby bump snap on social media back in January, she confirmed she was expecting twins with the caption, 'She’s eating for 3 now'.
But Jesy and Zion's pregnancy joy has since been tainted by an unnerving diagnosis.
"We wanted to let you in on our journey of what we've been going through," she shared in a self-fronted video "So we are having identical twins which is so exciting - we cannot believe it.

"But, unfortunately, there are complications that come with having identical twins."
Revealing that the couple are expecting 'mono/di' twins, Jesy explained: "Normally most twins will have two placentas that they feed off of.
"But when you have mono/di twins, that means your twins live off one placenta which can lead to lots of complications - one of them being one baby might take all the nutrients which, and it's really awful to say, but could lead to both babies dying."
The former X Factor singer - who departed from Little Mix in 2020 before going solo - went on to reveal that she was currently 'pre-stage TTTS'.

This refers to twin-to-twin transfusion, a rare pregnancy condition that - as Jesy explained - sees twins sharing one placenta, as well as a network of blood vessels that supply both oxygen and nutrients.
According to Hopkins Medicine, the ailment is also known as monochorionic.
In these cases, if the vessel connections within the placenta are not evenly disperse, an imbalance of blood exchange between the babies might see one receiving more than the other.

This could, sadly, result in malnourishment in the baby that gives away the most blood - and potentially even organ failure.
And in the recipient baby, an overload could leave them susceptible to an overwork of the heart, or other cardiac complications.
"I am being monitored very closely and I have to go and be scanned twice a week," Jesy continued in her latest post.

"The current situation is that every time I've gone it has got a little bit worse but we are just hoping and praying for the best."
In the clip, Jesy attempted to stay positive by discussing how 'blessed' she and Zion feel during their pregnancy, but admitted her recent health blow had left her 'getting upset'.
"It's just really sad that it does come with these complications," the 'Bad Thing' chart-topper continued.
"We had no clue that this kind of thing happens when you have twins. We just really wanna raise awareness about this."
