From the Beckhams and the Kardashians all the way through to the Smith family and Brangelina - it's clear that there are a bunch of famous families out there.
There are also a bunch of little-known family relations, close or distant, throughout the Hollywood industry including Emma and Julia Roberts, even Hilary Clinton and Madonna just to name a few.
However, it's clear the family ties go beyond just celebrities alone as one member from the Royal Family, Kate Middleton, is actually related to two very famous A-listers.

While it's not a direct relative, or even a super distant, the Princess of Wales shares some ancestral ties with the famous sisters.
So, for some context, Kate's mum, Carole Middleton, is a direct descendant of King Edward III who was just 14 when he was crowned King and assumed government in his own right way back when in 1330.
And, according to genealogy company Ancestry.com, Uptown Girls star, Dakota Fanning, 30, is the 22nd great-granddaughter of the same king, Us Weekly reports.

So, by default, that means Dakota's youngest sister, Elle, 26, is also related to the monarch.
Opening up about discovering the news, Elle told E! News: "It's so weird.
"I saw it the other day. My cousins called me up and they were like, 'Look online!' I looked online and like King Edward III is my great-great-great-grandfather. I was like, 'Is this real?'"

The Maleficent star continued: "It's crazy."
"I've always wanted to do the Ancestry.com thing because I think it would be really cool," Elle added. "But someone did it for me, which I think is great."
In other celebrity and Royal Family news, there are a bunch of stars who broke royal protocol and got away with it over the years.
Such stars include the likes of tennis champion Roger Federer, US president Joe Biden, former US president Donald Trump, award-winning actor Allison Janney, 'Shape of You' hit-maker Ed Sheeran, NBA star LeBron James and the one and only Michelle Obama.

The US first lady at the time placed a hand on the Queen's back during a visit.
Recalling the encounter, she said: "I then did what's instinctive to me anytime I feel connected to a new person, which is to express my feelings outwardly. I laid a hand affectionately across her shoulder."
It wasn't until after that she realised it could be something of a faux pas, but it seems that the Queen was okay with it.

She said: "I daresay the Queen was okay with it, too, because when I touched her, she only pulled closer, resting a gloved hand lightly on the small of my back."
