Behind the glitzy red carpet appearances and jet-setting vacations, there are several pressures that big-name celebrities are forced to endure throughout their time in the spotlight.
And for female stars in particular, being subjected to bitter criticism and enduring ceaseless comments over their looks is something they battle on a daily basis.
And while the majority of A-listers prefer to turn a blind eye to hateful remarks on social media, comedian Katherine Ryan has taken the time to name and shame her trolls, after one of them accused her of undergoing plastic surgery.

The Canadian comedian, 40, took to Instagram, to call out her hater, sharing a screengrab of a message she was sent.
In the private message, the troll had implored her to 'stop having procedures'.
The rest of the bitter text read: "That photo of you at the Mean Girls premiere was frightening.
"You are looking more and more like Joan Rivers... or Pete Burns. Please. Stop."

Ever the refreshingly forward firecracker, mother-of-three Katherine hit back at the remark, beginning her response by telling them: "Go f**k yourself."
She went on to claim she hadn't gone under the knife since giving birth to and subsequently breastfeeding her youngest child, daughter Fenna Grace, born in December 2022.
"What you're seeing as 'work' is actually my face changing because I'm getting older," Katherine - who is also mum to two-year-old son Fred and daughter Violet, 15 - clapped back.

"It's exhausting not to be criticised, but to constantly navigate HOW STUPID PEOPLE ARE and how they feel emboldened to speak about things they know nothing about."
The funny-woman concluded her statement by calling the troll out on their 'really harrowing stupidity'.
Katherine frequently makes jibes about her decision to undergo plastic surgery during her many television appearances and comedy routines.

But the star has also previously revealed that others discussing her looks is something of a soft spot.
Speaking in October 2023, she insisted: "I haven't had anywhere near as much plastic surgery as I joke about.
"It's like [friend and fellow comedian] Jimmy Carr started joking that I had plastic surgery and then I would just go along with it."
Katherine went on: "It was funny. But, realistically, I'm 40 now. As I get older, why not have a facelift at some point? I think I would like it.

"My boobs probably need redoing. I'd like to get liposuction because they have this science now where they can take any fat from your body and use it to put it back. So, they put it in your bum or they put it in your face."
