Look, none of us look great when we’re working out, let’s face it. Well, you might, but I certainly don’t...
Mind you, we're often told that no one else cares what you’re wearing or how tomato-red your face is, as everyone’s too fixated on their own gruelling exercise to worry about what others are doing.
But what if you clocked someone pumping iron in leather trousers? That’s bound to lead to a few justifiably baffled glances – as proven by the online confusion after singer Lenny Kravitz posted a video of his unusual workout garms.

The 59-year-old is known as being a bit of a fashion icon, whether it’s an oversized scarf while out getting groceries or basking topless in the sunshine in some funky sunglasses.
And it turns out even the gym serves as his very own catwalk, as he recently posted a clip of him lifting weights in what might be the most Lenny Kravitz outfit ever.
“Thank God for today!” he captioned the vid. “Grateful. Never been better. There are no shortcuts so seize your day. It is all possible. Love!”

Of course, it didn’t take long for attention to turn to what he was wearing, which indluded a pair of leather trousers, some heavy-duty boots and even a pair of shades.
I’m sweating just thinking about it.
“Is he working out in leather pants?!!” one asked in disbelief.
Someone else commented: “Who trains in leather pants??? Only Lenny does.”

A third wrote: “Reasons why I haven’t started working out: 1. I don’t own any leather pants. Yea that’s it.”
A fourth joked that he clearly has ‘no workout clothes’, while another added: “Man! Boots and leather pants while working out is crazy! Always on brand!”
Speaking to PEOPLE earlier this year, Kravitz said he sees fashion as an 'outward expression' of how he feels.

"I started playing in my mom’s closet, and I’m still playing in my mom’s closet," he said.
Discussing that viral oversized scarf, he explained how the now-iconic look was a bit of a fluke rather than an intended fashion statement.
"I was going to the market, just to get some groceries," Kravitz recalled.
"Didn’t think I’d be seeing anybody. It was cold, and yes, I own that big scarf that I had made for me."

He added: "It has become the meme and symbol and representation of cold weather coming."
