Halloween is the time of year where the best dressed is often the craziest dressed, but many think Lil Nas X may have gone too far.
Celebs across the globe are currently showing off their spooky costumes - and while there have been some major hits, there have definitely been some misses this year too.
For instance Khloe Kardashian received a lot of hate for her choice of outfit, and Sharon Osbourne left fans seriously scratching their heads with hers.

Even the queen of screams Heidi Klum got some backlash this year, with fans branding her latest costume her worst yet.
And now, music star Lil Nas X is the latest celeb to receive criticism for their choice of costume.
The star posted a video clip to Instagram showing off the Halloween ensemble, but fans were left less than impressed. See what you make of it:
In the video, you can see Lil Nas X strutting his stuff on the sidewalk, but the scary part is what he’s supposedly come out of and what he’s holding on to.

A tampon.
Yes, that’s right- the star dressed up as a tampon for Halloween and his fans are not happy.
Underneath the clip, which has 471,108 likes and over 7,000 comments in just nine hours, there are a lot of people who aren’t happy with his choice of attire.
One commenter wanted to let the rapper know that he doesn’t understand the pain of a period and wrote: “I enjoy this look but the fact that you personally have never experienced the stigma, shame or pain involved with having a period makes me pause and think……. But why though?”

Someone else chimed in to let him know that it wasn’t it: “I gotta say, I don’t think you’d want to BE a period if you could experience a period. Believe me, it ain’t no walk in the park! But living through it month after month, year after year, is often a horror show! Peace!”
Someone else accused the star of 'mocking' women.
Another didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “This is so wrong you don’t even know wat we go through every month just gone laugh at our pain”.

But there were a few supporters sprinkled in among those calling it out.
One person pointed out that this could be a great way to normalise and raise awareness about periods in general: “A lot of people in the comments are annoying, saying ‘you don't know how badly it hurts so don't dress like period’ but please, can we agree that, besides the fact that it's freaking funny, it's also important to TALK ABOUT PERIODS??
“Like this is a big taboo for a lot of people (women, men or everyone else). My personal first reaction was (to laugh) like ‘yeah yeah yeah, periods are something important, thanks for showing it !!’.

“So please, stop crying that ‘periods are a subject forbidden to men’ or ‘you laugh about our pain’ cause NO. It is funny, and it might help to talk about it.”
Someone else also found the funny side of the costume and wrote: “Painting the town Red fr”.
