While some Molly-Mae Hague fans were blindsided by the announcement that she and fiancé Tommy Fury have called time on their relationship, others claim they've seen the signs for a while.
The Love Island couple had recently celebrated their fifth anniversary together, before Molly-Mae, 25, broke the tragic news today in an emotional Instagram statement.

"Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this," the social media influencer penned earlier today (14 August).
"After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
"I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority."
She continued: "I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.
"You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all.
"Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x."

The heartbreaking news comes after months of speculation of the status of the couple's relationship, despite the fact they only got engaged in July last year.
The speculation first kicked off just before Christmas 2023, when Molly-Mae was frequently spotted without her engagement ring.
In the weeks that followed, the rumour mill went into overdrive when Tommy was papped partying in the company of musician Chris Brown in Dubai, with many videos and photos surfacing from the getaway.

Molly-Mae was subsequently spotted on an outing with the couple's daughter Bambi without her plush ring.
As such, many fans jumped to the conclusion that the pair had split.
So much so, that the blonde beauty was forced at the time to shut down speculation altogether, seemingly insisting there was no trouble in paradise between the pair at all.
Sharing a sweet snap from a work trip to London with her millions of followers back in December, one of the former islander's accessories stood out in particular - her engagement ring.

That said, however, the couple later went on to say in separate press interviews that their marriage would likely not be taking place until 2025.
In June, Tommy told Closer: "We're not putting pressure on [getting married].
"We're enjoying being engaged and enjoying that period of our life, so we're in no rush.
"I don't know. You can't plan things like that. It just happens, doesn't it?"
The boxer has since released his own statement on the pair's split.
"I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship," he wrote on Instagram.
"The past 5 years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi & I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.
"Please respect our privacy, and our families privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time."
