Since the news broke yesterday (11 April) that Orenthal James 'OJ' Simpson has passed away aged 76, following a battle with cancer, there is a resurgence of people discussing the allegations against him of domestic violence and murder.
Former NFL star OJ Simpson was the prime suspect on trial in the 1995 'trial of the century', after his wife Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered alongside her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.
OJ had previously pleaded 'no contest' to domestic violence charges in their relationship.

Following the brutal deaths, OJ denied murder and was represented by top lawyer Robert Kardashian.
The trial lasted for 11 months and was televised - approximately 150 million people tuned in to see OJ be given a hugely controversial verdict of 'not guilty'.
Phone calls to 911 made by Nicole were made public, in which she pleaded with authorities to help her.

In the harrowing recording, Nicole says: "Could you just send somebody over? He just drove up again. Could you just send somebody over here? He is in a white Bronco – but first of all he broke the back door down to get in.
"He's going nuts. You're about to hear him again he's about to come in."
She continues: "I don't want to stay on the line.
"He's going to beat the s**t out of me."

OJ's lawyer Robert had previously been married to Kardashian-family matriarch, Kris Jenner between 1978 and 1991.
Kris, thereby, was a very close friend of Nicole and spent time with her regularly.
Following Nicole's murder, Kris was interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres, during which Kris shared that she was 'shocked' to learn about the alleged abuse Nicole faced at the hands of OJ.

Kris says: "I didn’t know that there was abuse until we heard and saw the whole thing unfold like everybody else, and heard the 911 tapes which were going to be used as evidence in the trial."
Ellen then asks: "She was your friend, and didn’t say to you ‘I’m in trouble’?"
Kris responds: "Me and some of our close friends were all were really surprised and shocked by that because we felt like we really failed her as a friend.

"You discover things about somebody and it was horrible, although she and I were supposed to have lunch the next day - the day after she was murdered - she said she wanted to show me some things and show me what was in her safe.
"Now unfortunately it all makes sense that that’s probably what she wanted to reveal to me that next day which broke my heart, because I always feel horrible that I didn’t pay enough attention."
Ellen then asked: "How did you find out that she was murdered?"
A devastated Kris spared no detail when recounting: "Her mom called me.
"I had known OJ since I was 17 years old. When I met Robert, I met OJ. So that was a very long time ago. He was like a big brother to me.
"That morning, I was coming back from taking the kids to school and I was supposed to be meeting Nicole."
She continued: "The phone rang, and my assistant said ‘Judy’s on the phone’. I said ‘Tell her I’ll call her right back’.
"She goes ‘no, you really need to take the call.’
"And I picked up the phone and she actually said ‘Nicole’s been shot’, I said ‘OK I’m on my way, where do I go?’
"And she said ‘no, she didn’t make it.’"
Kris' comments resurfacing follow ex-spouse Caitlyn Jenner's reaction to OJ's passing. Kris and Caitlyn were married at the time of Nicole's murder.
Caitlyn tweeted yesterday: "Good Riddance. #OJSimpson".
