Rihanna has been defended by fans after she shared a video of her holding her baby son.
In the clip, Rihanna can be seen playfully picking up her son, RZA, at his second birthday party.
Rihanna, along with partner A$AP Rocky, hosted a party for their eldest son at Color Factory in New York.
Party guest Jasmine B. Cook shared some photos on social media, including a clip of the cute moment between Rihanna and the birthday boy.

In the video, Rihanna can be seen holding her son upside down, before swinging him side to side while he could be seen giggling.
RZA was obviously loving all the fun, but some people have taken it upon themselves to comment on the way Rihanna was holding her son.
"That’s not the right way to hold a young child! But she did not hold him upside down for long so it couldn’t hurt him," one person wrote.
While another added: "If this was a normal person yall would of had an outrage."

Fans were quick to defend Rihanna, however, with many pointing out it was simply a playful moment between a good mother and her baby on his birthday.
One wrote: "I know that baby was enjoying and was like 'Do it again mommy'. Kids love that typa sh*t."
While another said: "Maaan, everyone has done that to their kids. My pops ultimately did it to me."

And a third added: "All kids love this type of fun. My daughter does and STILL does."
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed RZA, back in May 2022 and just a year later in August 2023, they expanded their family once again with their second son, Riot.
Since then, the 36-year-old singer has opened up about potentially expanding her family of four once more.

Speaking to E! News at the red carpet of the Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty launch party back in December, Rihanna joked about the possibility of having a third child.
When asked by an interviewer: "Is there one thing you can't do so far?" the mum-of-two joked: "So far, have daughters!"
She went on to reveal: "I'm batting at 75 percent for a boy next time. So, we'll just keep our fingers crossed."
The nine-time Grammy winner, who is totally loved up up with her 'Praise the Lord' rapper boyfriend, 35, was also asked about handing over her various business ventures to her little ones in the future when they get older.

"I mean, my kids gonna have to get a job someday, right?" she explained. "But it’s up to them if they want to be involved.
"My kids might be like, 'That’s a you thing, Mom, like, keep me — I don’t even want to be on camera'."
