Sam Asghari has spoken about the reason why he can’t speak about his divorce with Britney Spears.
The actor and model, 30, was in a relationship with the iconic pop star for six years. They met on the set of the music icon’s ‘Slumber Party’ music video in 2016 and became Instagram official in January 2017.
After tying the knot in June 2022 in front of celebrity guests including Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore and Donatella Versace, the pair announced their split in August 2023 after 14 months of marriage due to 'irreconcilable differences', which was was finalised last May.

Sam has now said that he signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) during their relationship, Page Six reports.
“You can’t take a poop in Hollywood without having an NDA… That’s the true part of it,” he said on the Viall Files podcast episode published on Wednesday (12 February).

According to Page Six, the comment came after host Nick Viall asked about the cause of his divorce from Britney, which he was unable to discuss due to a 'gag order', he said.
“When it comes to breakups, splits, divorce, it sucks,” he said. “I always hated the fact that somebody goes and talks about this and cries and tries to get attention or use that as leverage. It’s my life. I lived it. I experienced it.
"But I think certain things you talk about in public and certain things you don’t. And I think it doesn’t matter what the cause was.

“I think what matters the most is the time that we spent together, the things that we’ve learned. And that was a big part of my life and her life as well.”
Last month, the Traitors star revealed that the 'weirdest' thing he had to deal with in their marriage was her conservatorship, which the singer was still under a conservatorship when they met and started dating..
Calling it 'ridiculous', he said: "And that was by far the weirdest thing to deal with. It was a very difficult time.
"It blurred into our relationship for almost seven years, but it was so much that we’ve gone through as a couple and we’ve learned so much and it was a beautiful experience."

However, he said he had no regrets about their time together or his decision to end their marriage, adding: "If you do everything with honour, respect and you think twice before you do anything, nothing could ever go wrong and nothing could ever be a bad thing."
