Actor Josh Duhamel has opened up about his divorce from ex-wife Fergie in a rare comment.
The former couple met in September 2004 when singer Fergie - real name Stacy Ann Ferguson - appeared on Duhamel's show Las Vegas with her band The Black Eyed Peas.
They began dating and later got married in January 2009 at a vineyard in Malibu, California, and Fergie gave birth to their son, Axl, in 2013.

In September 2017, the couple announced that they had separated and two years later, their divorce was finalised.
It has since been revealed that they split because Duhamel, 52, never 'got comfortable' being in the spotlight.
In a 2023 appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, he said: "We both agree that we're just very different."

And as for their relationship being so public, he admitted: "It was just a lot. I missed the simplicity of who I really am."
Josh, who is now married to former Miss World America Audra Mari, moved away from Hollywood to get away from the public eye.
"Part of the reason I built my place out in Minnesota, deep in the woods, is it’s removed from everything," he told Parade. "The closest store is 40 miles away. Once we get there, it's really about everybody taking care of each other— making memories, spending time with family and friends."
The actor continued: "You really get a chance to get back to the basics. You're not consumed by all these other distractions. When you're out there, it's really about having fun, making sure everybody's warm, everybody's got food and water."

Despite their divorce, Duhamel is adamant that there's no bad blood between him and the 'Big Girls Don't Cry' singer, and said there's 'very little conflict' between them as co-parents.
He also admitted that he had a lot to learn following his separation from the now-50-year-old and says that's he's still a 'work in progress.'
Duhamel has played a wide variety of roles throughout the years, from a teenage heartthrob to an action movie hero to an inspirational hockey coach.

When it comes to choosing the parts he wants to play, he says: "I never really know until I read something. I want to continue to push myself. Because it really is a lot of fun, especially if you're on a project that makes you jazzed to get up and go to work every day. I just want to continue to find those projects. And so far, it's been amazing."
