One drinking rule that festival-goers at Coachella 'hated' has 'finally' been ditched, but it turns out not many knew about it.
Those attending one of the most highly-anticipated festivals of the year this weekend (11 April - 13 April) will welcome one specific change to a bizarre drinking rule.
Hundreds of thousands of music fans will flock to Coachella in California, as Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone are set to headline the famous stage.

You'll be glad to know that you can roam around the fields freely with your alcoholic beverages - but this wasn't always the case.
In previous years, alcohol consumption was only allowed in certain fenced-off areas.
But for the 2024 festival, officials made the major change, which saw festival-goers drinking where ever they liked.
And people will be glad to know the rule change is here to stay.

Fans welcomed the news last year, as one on X said: "Forgot about this. Super annoying."
Another said: "About damn time."
But one said the preferred the old rule, as they noted: "I liked the beer garden, gave me an excuse to chill and slam some beers real quick lol."
Others found that the security wasn't strict to begin with.

"That one time u go to Coachella and wait an hour at the beer garden to get a drink then realise security check is sh** there so u sneak in alcohol from that point and beyond," one sneakily said.
But of course, as all ages are welcome at Coachella, there is one thing that over 21s are still required to do.
Those who are above the legal drinking age are asked to get a wristband everyday of the festival, but TikTokkers who go every year are giving out some handy tips.

One said: "Don't go to the first lines you see, those ones are f***ed, go to the ones further in the festival."

She also shared the price list for alcohol in the music venue, which some were surprised by.
One user said: "That isn't bad, it's similar in the UK now."

"That's lowkey not bad," another wrote.
But others disagreed, noting that the prices were pretty steep.
One said: "Coming from someone in the UK, these are so expensive! Like double the price, and our measures are bigger."
"My god that's insane," another wrote.
