Celebs, they’re just like us, as the saying goes.
And who among us hasn’t found out they’ve been doing an incredibly common thing completely wrong?
While everyone’s favourite realtor (well, mine at least) Chrishell Stause is exceptionally good at selling luxury houses all around Los Angeles, it seems she struggles a bit in other areas.

This is sure to come as a huge relief to those of us who have fallen into the trap of comparing ourselves to reality stars and their stream of seemingly never ending perfection.
What is Chrishell Stause’s fatal flaw, you ask?
Well, as it turns out, it’s the way she holds her knife and fork.

The 42-year-old actress turned realtor and reality star was innocently posting an Instagram ad for a meal service company.
Fans were quick to point out that the way she was using her utensils was out of the ordinary.
An eagle-eyed viewer sent her a DM which read: “Your friends should have a cutlery holding intervention. They should have never let you post this.”

Being the good sport that she is, Stause screenshotted this and shared it to her story, writing: “Wait this actually made me L O L! How do you guys cut your food??
"I just do it the way my mom did it but I’ve never noticed it was different.”
She then asked her followers how they tend to hold their cutlery.
A helpful commenter advised: “Fork curve side up (upside down I guess), if that makes [sense]. Knife cuts before the fork.”

Stause laughed along, reminiscing on how many missed opportunities there has been to improve her unusual dining habit.
“You learn something new every day. I wonder how many fancy dinners I’ve been to where people noticed this, and I was fully unaware,” she wrote.
Talking to the camera, she continued her disbelief: “Also, my hands are swapped. The knife is supposed to be in the other hand?

"And you’re not supposed to put them down? Those are a lot of rules."
She re-enacted her way of cutting and eating food, saying: “I always thought, ‘Well the fork is like this so you make a little path and you put the knife through the fork.'”
Ever true to herself, Stause was grateful for the lesson but mentioned she’s unlikely to change her ways.
“Okay, noted,” Stause said. “I don’t think I can switch now, I’m too old!”
