Shakira was forced to walk off stage after allegedly learning someone in the crowd was ‘filming up her dress’.
On Saturday (September 14), the 47-year-old celebrated the forthcoming release of her new single ‘Soltera’ at the LIV nightclub in Miami.
Famous faces such as Canadian fashion model Winnie Harlow and Mexican star Danna Paola were in attendance alongside other close friends and various fans of the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ favourite.
At one point during the event, Shakira took to the venue’s small, circular stage to show off her signature dance moves.

However, the mother-of-two’s appearance was cut short after reportedly realising some fans at the US party were allegedly using a camera to film up her dress.
In footage shared to social media, the ‘She Wolf’ hitmaker could be seen rolling her body to the music before spinning around and pulling down the bottom of her gold sequinned mini dress.
Shakira began gesturing wildly to the apparent fans before pulling down her dress further.
After a moment of trying to get back into the swing of things, the musician called time and made her way off stage and into the VIP area.

Since the video of the alleged upskirting incident was posted to X, fans of the Colombian singer have come out in droves to defend her.
“That's truly disappointing behaviour,” commented one user. “Artists deserve respect and privacy, both on and off stage. It's crucial to ensure a safe environment for everyone.”
A second typed: “Shakira can't even enjoy and dance to her OWN song like??”

Another viewer questioned: “Why did they ruin her vibes like that?”
Someone else echoed: “What happened to consent?”
As per Section 810.145 of Florida Legislature, upskirting sees perpetrators taking a picture or recording an image under someone’s clothing without their consent and is considered an act of video voyeurism.
It is therefore illegal to secretly record or photograph for personal interests, including ‘amusement, entertainment, profit, or degradation of the victim’.

“If your voyeurism offence included a phone, camera, or another imaging device to record the victim's private areas, you would face enhanced criminal penalties,” writes US-based law firm, Robert Davis Malove.
First-time voyeurism punishments include being charged with a first-degree misdemeanour while a second or subsequent violation will see the accused being charged with a third-degree felony.
The maximum prison time for a repeat offender is five years, while those on a first-degree misdemeanour could face up to a year in prison.
