Taylor Swift appears to address Dave Grohl’s accusation that she doesn’t play live

Taylor Swift appears to address Dave Grohl’s accusation that she doesn’t play live

Fans have praised Swift for keeping it 'classy'

Taylor Swift has been living in everyone’s heads rent-free recently after wowing fans during the European leg of her Eras tour.

Everyone’s been obsessed with seeing all of the outfits, the surprise songs and the celeb guests each night.

But there’s something else that Swift hit headlines for recently, as Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl took an apparent swipe at the ‘Shake It Off’ singer at one of his band’s recent gigs.

Grohl was performing in London when he told the crowd: “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.

“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***** errors as well. Just a couple.”

He added: “That’s because we actually play live... What!?”

Grohl went on: “Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f****** place.”

While Swift has yet to publicly respond, many fans think she found a subtle way to hit back while addressing the crowd this weekend at her third London show.

Taking a moment to reflect on the efforts of the tour’s band and crew, she said: “What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every very single one of our crew.

“The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.

“They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it.”

Many of her fans took her comments to be a response to Grohl’s, crediting her for her supposedly ‘classy’ reaction.

“This is what leadership is all about - supporting others, not undermining them,” one wrote on X.

Someone else agreed: “I love that she is like ‘you can talk s**t about me not singing live, but do not f**king discredit the hard work of the people who do this show with me’.”

A third said: “She stays classy!! always crediting her entire crew and performers.”

A fourth added: “@foofighters weird how a grown woman had to call you out with a huge amount of class.”
