The Traitors Us star Nikki Garcia once revealed the heartbreaking reason behind her split from John Cena, opening up about the moment she knew she 'needed to walk away'.

Garcia, who is one of the contestants on the third season of the US version of the highly popular TV show, first got engaged to Cena back in 2017.

However, the former couple, who both shared a love of wrestling, ultimately decided to part ways in 2018 after six years of being together.

Speaking on Maria Menounos' Better Together podcast back in 2020, Nikki explained: "Overall, we did have such an incredible relationship, it was just two people that wanted two different lives.

"We were trying so hard to make it one. Even in the end when he was willing to give me kids, I could just tell, it’s not what he wanted. And that’s really what pushed me in the end."

The former professional wrestler, best known for her tenure in WWE from 2007 to 2022, continued: "If I’m going to force someone to be a father… what if he looks at you down the road and just regrets everything and then you have this child and you’ve built this life.

"Is that what you want? And I remember thinking, 'it’s not what I want'."

"I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, 'I need to walk away'. And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it’s painful and even traumatising, I just knew it was right," Nikki added.

Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming, Nikki, along with the other contestants will have to club together on a series of missions to build a prize pot worth up to $250,000.

Alongside Nikki, the likes of Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser, Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul's Drag Race and Big Brother's Britney Haynes will be joining the mix.

Additionally, Survivor star, Carolyn Wiger, The Real Housewives of Dubai's Chanel Ayan and Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset will also be rocking up to the castle.
