Georgia Kousoulou breaks down in tears after she opens up about miscarriage

She opened up about the tragic ordeal

Georgia Kousoulou has broken down in tears after opening up about her tragic miscarriage.

The 32-year-old former The Only Way is Essex star got emotional when talking about her fertility journey with her husband Tommy Mallet, 31, in a recent episode of Georgia & Tommy: Baby Steps.

Back in April of last year, the reality TV star revealed she had a miscarriage and shared the news on social media where she explained she needed an operation after the 12-week scan which revealed her unborn baby had unfortunately not survived.

Georgia, who shares two-year-old son Brody with Tommy, took to Instagram at the time to announce the heartbreaking news: "Our 12-week scan to be told our baby had not survived & I needed an op… 12 weeks of feeling every emotion, hoping & praying but in the end, nothing else we could have done.

"We don’t really have the words to say right now except we are lucky to have amazing family & friends around us .. & most importantly we are blessed to have our beautiful Brody who we couldn’t have got through this without him.

"We will have the words soon but right now we are taking time for us as a family."

"Since we lost the baby in April I have had my days," Georgia said on opening episode of the new series. "I get good days and I get bad days which I think is completely normal.

"There are still going to be things that trigger me. The last week I feel like I'm in a better place, it's taken a long time though."

Elsewhere in the episode, she continued to reveal: "I would love to be pregnant right now, I thought I would have been by now but you can only want something so much.

"All we can do is hope and pray that it happens but unfortunately, I can't control my body."

Following the miscarriage, Tommy took Georgia and Brody away on holiday as a distraction.

He explained: "Georgia has had a tough few months but we are coming out the other end of it.

"My main priority over the past three months has been Georgia and making sure she gets out of this place that she has been in.

"It's been hard, and we haven't spoken about it either."
