Travis Kelce speaks out on behaviour during US Open date with Taylor Swift as body language expert reveals ‘red flags'

Travis Kelce speaks out on behaviour during US Open date with Taylor Swift as body language expert reveals ‘red flags'

A body language expert claimed Travis Kelce's behaviour towards Taylor Swift suggested he was 'becoming less interested'

Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce were spotted at the US Open final on 8 September - and now Travis has spoken out on the 'red flag' behaviour that a body language expert weighed in on.

The 'Cruel Summer' singer and NFL star watched on as World No. 1 Jannik Sinner defeat Taylor Fritz in the men's final.

The two went viral after footage of them singing and dancing along to 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' swept the internet - and things were looking good to most - until a body language expert weighed in.

Travis seemed distracted at points throughout the day, including watching something on his mobile phone rather than focusing on Taylor or the court.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Darren Stanton told Tyla that energy levels from Travis had 'decreased'.

He said: "For these two, they started off quite full on, very tactile, very touchy feely. Travis was going around the world to support her on her Eras tour.

"The PDA from the pair was very full on for a while, holding hands and kissing in public, but this seems to have decreased as time has gone on. He’s only really trying when she’s looking."

He continued: "A lot of the signs that were initially present such as the prolonged eye contact and PDA, the tactile moments that were put out, are no longer appearing as strong or operating on the same level as before."

Now, in a new episode of his podcast New Heights, Travis has spoken out about why his usually 'very loud' personality was more subdued during the tennis match.

Talking to his co-host and brother, Jason Kelce, he said: "It's very quiet, and you know us... when it's very quiet we want to do something or say something.

"I've never been a quiet person, I've always been the kid at the back of the class when it gets quiet, saying something smart or funny, or trying to get a rise out of someone.

"The entire time I wanted to heckle the Italian guy Sinner, the No 1 player in the world and really try and get into his head and help my guy Fritzy out, give him a home court advantage here in America, but I played it cool, I played it respectful, knowing that's kind of frowned upon.

"I'm sure if I started heckling him like the guy in Happy Gilmore - 'you stupid jacka**' - I would have been asked to leave pretty quick."

Travis' explanation is at odds with Stanton's body language analysis.

The expert continued with his take: "Initially, when they were pictured walking anywhere, they were all over each other, he would have his arms round her from the back, hugging her really tightly.

"Their matching and mirroring of body language was much greater, and they would meet each other in the middle with their gestures, showing a strong connection.

"We’ve not seen that in recent weeks, so I believe he is becoming less interested with the 'Taylor Swift circus'."

Only time will tell.
