Whoopi Goldberg, 68, opens up on ‘going to bed alone’ as she explains why she wants to stay single

Whoopi Goldberg has opened up about how she 'doesn't want to share'.

Whoopi Goldberg has admitted that she 'doesn't want to share', after she opened up about single life.

Whilst many celebrities find that they prefer to keep their love lives under wraps, others don't mind divulging a few personal details with fans.

And it seems as though legendary actress, Whoopi Goldberg, is one of those celebs!

Earlier this year, she appeared on the American version of Loose Women, much-loved chat show The View, about how she is 68, single, and PROUD!

The Oscar-award-winning star opened up about some expert relationship advice she read in a book.

She said: "A married couple of psychologists who wrote the book 'Fight Right: How Successful Couples Turn Conflict into Connection', they say it's okay to go to bed angry.

"Because it gives you time to take a breath and think things over and understand someone better."

The star burst into laughter.

"That tickles you?" one of panellists noted.

"That just tickles me, you know?

"That's why I go to bed alone!

"I don't have to worry about it, I don't care whose mad!"

And though she didn't confirm the status of her relationship, it was clear to viewers that Whoopi is very much alright on her own.

And on reflection, she even admitted that she wishes she had never gotten married.

Despite claiming in 2018 that she was 'not being a believer' in marriages, she did note that there was something quite nice about royal weddings.

She said: "There’s something wonderful about seeing a couple in love and they’re in a carriage.

"There's something wonderful about that and the [royal] tradition.

"We don't really have those kind of things, but for us across the way there's something great about it.

"Often if you’ve been married a long time, things change.

"The only way I could be married to anyone ever again is if they lived in another country, they could come and visit... I'm not cut out for it."

I think we can all relate to that slightly.

She added: "I'm in my 60s.

"Remember how people treated women who were not married?

"You got treated rather poorly, they talked about it like there was something wrong.

"I think more people have discovered that it's not for them.

"I don't want to share, and that's OK to say."

We're right behind you, Whoopi!
