Zac Efron speaks out as his brother is spotted on The Traitors

Zac Efron speaks out as his brother is spotted on The Traitors

Dylan Efron is currently starring in the US version of the beloved game show

If you’ve been watching The Traitors US then you may already be acquainted with Dylan Efron, the younger brother of The Iron Claw actor Zac Efron.

Like its British counterpart, The Traitors US is filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

However, instead of being fronted by Strictly Come Dancing favourite Claudia Winkleman, BAFTA award-winning actor Alan Cumming is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Another stark difference between the UK and US versions is that the latter is entirely composed of reality show participants, public figures and even an aristocrat.

Meanwhile, the beloved BBC game show features relatively unknown contestants, an Anglican priest and a pair of sisters.

You may already be familiar with some of The Traitors US season three cast, including former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia, Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules and Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause.

Another famous name vying for the $250,000 jackpot this year is Dylan Efron, the 32-year-old brother of Zac Efron.

Dylan, who has been marked as a Faithful in the first episode of the Peacock programme, has already been praised by his sibling for his game-playing skills.

At the premiere of A Family Affair last year, Zac was questioned whether he fancied his brother to go all the way in The Traitors US.

"I hope he does [win] because he's so good at games. He always has been since we were kids. He's like the game master,” Zac told E! News’ The Rundown at the time.

He continued: "I don't care what game it is," the actor added of his sibling. "It can be a luck game like Yahtzee and he always gets Yahtzee on the first roll.

"If anyone can do this, it's him. I'm rooting for him."

Like his brother, Dylan also works in the entertainment industry and is best known for producing episodes of Netflix’s Down to Earth with Zac Efron and being a physical production coordinator on 2018’s Ready Player One.

The star has also worked as an assistant on Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart’s movie Get Hard and on A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

In 2023, he also appeared as a stunt performer on instalments of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka.

Upon seeing Dylan in the debut episode of The Traitors US, fans have taken to social media to have their say.

“Streets saying Dylan Efron wins The Traitors 3,” typed one user.

A second commented: “The way that calling Dylan Zac Efron's brother was more to point out the random a** crossovers that Traitors casting gives us then any kind of shade like?????”

“Honestly, Dylan Efron is THE revelation to me,” praised someone else. “He pleasantly surprised me, I thought he was gonna be a wallflower.”

“All of yall just now being a fan of Dylan Efron… get in line! #TheTraitorsUS,” commented a fourth.
