After a year of mass anticipation, The Traitors returned to the BBC last night for its third instalment - but it seems not everyone was enthralled by the show's 2025 debut.
A plot twist was thought up by a contestant on Wednesday night (1 January), with the star hoping to spice up the already nail-biting series.
But it sounds like their grand idea has left people divided.
Following two hugely successful series so far, 25 newbies landed in the Scottish Highlands in the hope of going home with an extra £120,000 lining their pocket.

As per tradition, the group was divided into 'Faithfuls' and 'Traitors', with the latter supposed to conceal their identity for as long as possible.
With fingers ceaselessly pointing in each and every direction, it is the turn of the Traitors to make sure Faithfuls are accused in their place.
Any Traitors caught out or any Faithfuls who rouse the most suspicion are sent home, whittling the group down until there's only one man/woman standing.
As we say, however, a series of never-before-seen plot twists were introduced last night - one of which was actually contrived by a contestant on the series.

Charlotte, a 33-year-old business director from London, previously told fans of the show that she's famed for her 'terrible poker face', and as such, she's decided to rely on something else to con her cast-mates - her accent.
Despite being London born and bred and recently moving to Hampshire, she opted to put on a fake Welsh accent in the hope of throwing her co-stars off her scent.
And while this move might prove entertaining for some viewers, others weren't loving the decision.

"Charlotte pretending to be Welsh is a hilariously unnecessary lie," one hit out on social media.
"Obsessed with Charlotte faking being Welsh in the most pointless plot twist the show has ever seen," another added.
A third went on: "'I’m going to do a Welsh accent for no reason whatsoever' Just shut up and play the game. Don’t need the gimmicks."
Though some praised Charlotte for the decision, with one viewer writing: "Absolutely obsessed with her pretending to be Welsh for literally no real reason… proper television is back."

That wasn't the only plot twist to air on last night's premiere episode, however, with another being introduced by BAFTA-winning presenter Claudia Winkleman.
Loyal viewers will recall that, when a contestant is eliminated, upon their exit, they must reveal to the group whether or not they accurately weeded out a Traitor, or whether they accidentally sent home a Faithful.
Not only is this particular aspect of the show the most shocking, but it also gives the remaining stars an indication of how many Traitors they're yet to identify.

Interestingly, however, this year, producers have decided not to have the stars reveal their true identities in the final, making things harder for those left to go about their investigation.
I personally cannot wait for the drama, but what do you reckon?
