Zoe Saldaña has shared her honest reaction after realising how old she’ll be once she’s finished filming Avatar.
The 46-year-old actress who has been sweeping awards left, right and centre for her role in musical-thriller Emilia Pérez starred in the first Avatar movie back in 2009 aged 27.
Over a decade since then, the long-awaited sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, came out in 2022, while the third film in the series, Avatar: Fire and Ash, is set to hit cinemas this December.
But that's not all - as there are reportedly two more James Cameron-directed films set to come out; Avatar 4 as well as Avatar 5 - the latter of which won't even be out this decade.

While over a two-and-a-half decades is a hefty amount of time, it's clear Saldaña is more than grateful for the opportunity to star as Neytiri - the beautiful princess of the Na'vi clan.
The Hollywood A-lister called the sci-fi world of Pandora 'magical,' and she said it was a 'gift to revisit a character that has given me so much'.
And in new interview with Deadline, Saldaña looked back on her work on the ultra-successful film franchise.

"I think - if all goes to plan - I'm gonna be 53, 54 for the fifth and very last one," she revealed, with the fifth film set to grace our screens in 2031.
This indicates that the span of time from the first film coming out to the fifth is a whopping 26 years - now that's commitment.
When the date of the final Avatar's release was announced back in 2023, Saldaña took to Instagram to sarcastically quip: "Great! I’m gonna be 53 when the last Avatar comes out."
Putting things into perspective, she added: "I was 27 when I shot the very first Avatar."

According to Variety, not only will Saldaña be in her fifties, but so will her co-star Sam Worthington - and Cameron will be 77-years-old.
Avatar producer Jon Landau wrote on Twitter at the time: "Each Avatar film is an exciting but epic undertaking that takes time to bring to the quality level we as filmmakers strive for and audiences have come to expect.
"The team is hard at work and can’t wait to bring audiences back to Pandora in December 2025."
The first Avatar movie grossed a staggering $2.923 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing movie of all time.
