Spencer Pratt has furious response over Mandy Moore's LA wildfire GoFundMe backlash

24 people are confirmed to have been killed in the LA fires so far

American actress Mandy Moore has caused quite the stir online after asking her fans to donate money amid the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

Now, media personality Spencer Pratt has chimed in on the social media chaos, releasing rant on TikTok.

Moore, 40, was among several big-name stars to have tragically lost their homes as a result of the ongoing fires last week - alongside the likes of Miles Teller, Paris Hilton, Raine Wilson and Cameron Mathison.

Moore's grief was quickly met with criticism, however, after she shared details of a donations page online aimed at raising money for her in-laws.

Moore revealed that her brother and his wife also saw their home burned to the ground, and are currently expecting their first child.

"With their first baby on the way in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever," Moore wrote on Instagram. "Griff is a touring musician and also lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussion he uses to make a living."

The page surpassed it's $60,000 goal, reaching $199,000 in a matter of days - though, Moore has since faced suggestions that she should donate her own wealth to their cause.

"And people questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic," she hit back on Instagram.

"Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and I’m sharing because people have asked how they can help them.

"We just lost most of our life in a fire too.

"Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything."

Since issuing her brutal response, fellow A-lister Spencer Pratt - who, with wife Heidi Montag and their children, also lost their entire home in the fires - has jumped to Moore's defence.

Taking to TikTok, the 41-year-old The Hills alum heaped praise onto the movie star, beginning by addressing viewers directly.

"Let me tell you about Mandy Moore," Pratt kicked off. "When I was younger, shout-out Mandy Moore. She booked my hotel for me because she was such a nice friend. She didn’t have to, but she did.

"She even booked my flight because I was so much fun to be around. Mandy Moore, I will ride for Mandy Moore."

The former reality TV star went on to warn the mother-of-three's critics, telling viewers: "If I see one more TikTok about Mandy Moore and GoFundMes, I’m going to start coming after you guys.

"You want beef with your worst nightmare, which is me right now? You post about Mandy Moore, and I will ride for Mandy Moore."

Pratt went on to brand her 'the nicest freaking lady' and urging trolls to delete their online hate.

"She’s a great human," he continued. "She’s not doing anything wrong—she’s posting GoFundMes, and that’s great.

"She has her own life, her own kids. So don’t come for Mandy Moore."

Spencer and wife Heidi were among the first A-listers to reveal their home had been destroyed as a result of the fires, which initially ripped through the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood on Tuesday (7 Jan).

The couple thankfully managed to escape the property with their children.

Prior to their evacuation, Spencer took to social media to share footage of just how destructive the force of the fire was with one TikTok video showing the roaring flames burning through his home.

"Oh wow, it's back there!" he could be heard saying in the clip while panning to the blaze over the top of a fence.

As the fire drew closer, he declared at the time: "For real ... let's go!"

Spencer captioned the unsettling clip: "Nightmare came true."
