It's not uncommon for former Love Island contestants to 'spill the beans' on what life was 'really like' behind the scenes of the ITV villa once they've been dumped.
And just when we thought dumped stars had revealed everything we need to know about the inner workings of the UK's most popular dating series, one axed islander has revealed a largely unknown secret about Casa Amor.

If you blinked during this segment of the show this year, you might have missed Love Island bombshell Joel Kirby in action, being that he seemingly only received five minutes of airtime in total.
Joined by six other newbies, the 22-year-old university graduate and content creator attempted to woo seven of this year's lovely ladies, whilst a batch of beautiful babes hoped to win over the boys.
Sadly, however, Joel wouldn't find his match on the show, and during the shock recoupling last week, he - along with four other Casa boys - were dumped from the island.
Since then, the ex-islander has taken to TikTok to discuss his time on-screen, even going as far as to jokingly fire shots at ITV for not airing any scenes of him chatting to this year's girls.

"Well that didn't work, did it," he joked in a newly-uploaded video. "They didn't even show any of my chats. Cheers Love Island."
And yesterday, Joel proceeded to reveal some of the productions best kept secrets, including one about Casa Amor protocol which has blown some viewers' minds.
Speaking to fellow dumped bombshell Jake Spivey, he revealed that the newbies are only permitted to get their graft on for a limited amount of time.

"You only speak to the girls for around 3 hours a day, ish," he explained. "Because the rest of the time is down time, where they don't film. So, all the boys and the girls have to be separate in like, different parts of the villa.
"And you're not allowed to talk about Love Island."
Jake then jumped into the conversation to add: "You've got to make the most of your time because you're limited on time that the cameras are rolling, so when you're chatting to the girls, you've got to make the most of it.

"And you've got to remember, they're filming Casa Amor and main villa, so they're jumping between the two. Obviously, when they're filming main villa, that's when we get our down time."
And, as we say, some viewers have been left blindsided by the revelation.
"Wait 3 hours a day!? I thought I was a lot more!" one admitted.

Another went on to exclaim, 'Love island sounds like hell', whilst a third simply replied, 'Whaaaat?!'
