While fans of Love Island: All Stars should hardly be surprised that former contestants have gotten older since their debut appearances on the show, Marcel Sommerville's real age has left some utterly mind-blown.
The 2017 islander - also known for having performed in noughties pop group the Blazing Squad - will land back in the villa on Monday night (13 January), along with a very familiar face...
For those out of the loop, ITV today announced the first few members of this year's incoming cast on Instagram.

Fans of the show were initially confused when producers appeared to be making their announcements in sets of four, sharing photos of four incoming ex-islanders at a time.
Quickly, however, their puzzling soon turned to excitement, when it was revealed that two contestants already know one another very well.
In the first batch of stars were 28-year-old Curtis Pritchard from the 2019 series, who famously dated Maura Higgins, Kaz Crossley from the 2018, who struck up a romance with co-star Josh Denzel, and 2020 star Nas Majeed, who split from girlfriend Eva Zapico last year.
Last in the announcement was Liverpool lass Gabby Allen, who appeared on the 2017 series, going on to enjoy a year-long romance with co-star, Marcel Somerville.

And while a second announcement saw Ronnie Vint from 2024, Scott Thomas from 2016, and Olivia Hawkins and Catherine Agbaje from 2022 announced, it was the third batch of islanders that really set tongues wagging, with Marcel himself being announced in the line-up.
Joined in the photo by India Reynolds and Elma Pazaar from 2019 and Luca Bish from the 2023 instalment, Marcel could be seen posing behind Love Island presenter Maya Jama, implying drama was very much on the cards.
As we say, however, one aspect of Marcel's incoming arrival into the villa has left fans shocked to the core - his age.

Following his split from Gabby, the rapper went on to find romance with Rebecca Vieira, even going on to welcomed a child together.
Sadly, however, the couple recently split - though Marcel is still technically married, which is expected to be a pretty awkward conversation between he and Gabs...
Anyway, it turns out that the father-of-one actually celebrates his 39th birthday today, meaning he was 32 years old when he first appeared on the show.
News of his age has seemingly blind-sided several fans on the show, being that Marcel's appearance will mean he's the oldest contestant to ever appear in the on-screen villa.

"This is the oldest and largest age range of #LoveIsland contestants ever. Catherine is 24, while Marcel is 39," one penned on X earlier today.
Another noted: "THIRTY NINE YEARS OF AGE"
A third savagely jibed: "Just went to look up Marcel’s age gosh he turns 39 today, there’s no way he’s lasting long in there!

"He’ll probably drop out on day three or get dumped at the end of the week."
Another asked: "wtf?? Ain’t Marcel like 40 tf is going there for ?"
